Our People

DINO KORCA

Director

Dear Friends:

Welcome to the Albanian Institute New York. We are glad you are here!

Our purpose is to support contemporary art and artistic excellence across disciplines, provide a forum for cultural dialog and promote cultural exchange, and create educational opportunities here in the US and beyond. We serve as a platform for cultural relations and a space for emerging and established artists to pursue their artistic aspirations. We have collaborated and work with some of the most eminent American and European institutions, including New York Foundations for the Arts, the New Museum, Arte Institute, the Museum of Moving Image, and some of Europe’s biggest cultural organizations.

We are a member of the European Union National Institutes for Culture (EUNIC) in New York. EUNIC is a vibrant network of over 46 cultural institutions and diplomatic missions from the EU, working together in the field of arts, education, and cultural relations, to promote European creative achievements and values.

In 2014, I was honored to be elected president of EUNIC. It is a tremendous privilege to serve this unique and exceptional organization, present groundbreaking collaborative projects, and work with the most outstanding leaders in the field.

This is such an exciting time for all of us. I have never been more optimistic about our ability to deliver on the promise of our mission and the purpose of our undertaking. There is so much great work to do, and so much opportunity to do it well. We are excited to see how this ambitious journey will shape our future, and we very much hope you will join us.
