Albanian soprano Ermonela Jaho is internationally recognized as one of today’s leading operatic singing-actresses, performing regularly at the world’s most prestigious opera houses. Honoured as Chevalier de l’Ordre des Arts et des Lettres and named ICMA Artist of the Year (2023), she has also received accolades from the OPER Awards (Best Female Singer, 2024) and Opera XXI (Best Foreign Artist, 2024). Her solo album Anima Rara earned the 2021 ICMA Vocal Music Award, and she is a recipient of the Readers Award at the International Opera Awards (2016).

An ambassador for Opera Rara and Opera for Peace, and a member of the Academy of Sciences of Albania, Jaho is celebrated for signature roles including Violetta, Cio-Cio-San, Suor Angelica, Adriana Lecouvreur, Anna Bolena, Thaïs, and Luisa Miller. She has performed at the Metropolitan Opera, Royal Opera House, Bayerische Staatsoper, Wiener Staatsoper, Opéra national de Paris, Teatro alla Scala, Teatro Real, Teatro Colón, Gran Teatre del Liceu, and the Arena di Verona. Recent engagements include Violetta at the Royal Opera House and the Metropolitan Opera, Cio-Cio-San at the Vienna State Opera and Bayerische Staatsoper, Magda at Opernhaus Zürich, and a title role debut in Mascagni’s Iris at Teatro Real, Madrid.
